Job Analysis
A quantified job analysis is the ideal format to profile the critical physical demands of all tasks associated with a job role on site. This can be useful both in the context of an injured worker and as part of a profile of all jobs on site.
The job analysis can be utilised by all parties involved in managing an injured worker in the following situations:
developing a comprehensive understanding of the full range of the physical demands of a particular job
- prescribing suitable duties for a return to work program
- setting realistic vocational goals
- highlight those higher risk tasks requiring a more detailed risk assessment to be performed
- setting the minimal physical requirement in a pre-employment medical
- HR documentation outlining the job description.
