Seated Workstation assessment
Posture related injuries account for a majority of workers' compensation cases seen in workers confined to seated workstations today. Posture related ailments not only result in time off work, but more commonly can reduce the productivity and concentration span of those employees afflicted. Quite often these can be corrected with an assessment of the workstation which is why we offer the following types of seated workstation assessments:
-
Group presentation
This is a cost effective method of giving information to a lot of staff regarding a general workstation set-up and the key risks inherent in their workplace.
-
Standard individual assessments
The most common tool used. In this instance a physiotherapist will cover each employee in a 20 minute assessment that will assess the key risk areas including workstation set-up, environment, posture and stress. This is an ideal assessment tool to use when you want to assess a large number of people who don't have any known injuries. We recommend this be done in your workplace every two years or when workers move to a new workstation.
-
Detailed individual assessment
This assessment is useful for a worker or workers who have a specific injury that is affecting their work. A more detailed assessment is performed by an experienced physiotherapist who can make recommendations on equipment that will reduce the postural strain where appropriate.
-
Online ErgoPro™ assessment
This assessment tool is the most cost effective for a large organisation. It is a web based risk assessment and training tool that takes less than 15 minutes to perform, with solutions emailed directly to the worker where appropriate. A full tracking system and audit trail make it ideal for managing a large workforce. The program will also flag those people with high risk that require a face to face follow up.
